Born on Halloween some time ago, Justin Coloma is a Peruvian American film director, writer and editor. Born to Peruvian and American parents and raised in Lima, Peru, he moved to California as a teenager and quickly discovered a love for cinema. Receiving a full scholarship to the University of California, Berkeley, he pursued Film Studies there and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1998.

After spending several years in the San Francisco bay area working on his writing, Justin moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film. An amateur musician, he quickly discovered a passion for music videos and was soon directing for some of the most unique and interesting artists in the business. Perhaps his best known video, "Superchrist" for Smashing Pumpkins, featured hipster porn princess Sasha Grey and members of L.A. garage legends The Seeds. It received so much buzz that it made Rolling Stone magazine's "Hot List" which remarked:"Perfecto!"

His music video credits include videos for Smashing Pumpkins (Superchrist and G.L.O.W.), Eagles of Death Metal, Boomkat featuring Taryn Manning, Morgan Page, DJ Dan, Linda Strawberry, Miss Derringer, The Higher, Veil Veil Vanish, Jupiter Blue, and Uncertain.

He has edited three feature films. "If All Goes Wrong," a rock documentary produced by Coming Home Studios, chronicles the Smashing Pumpkins' 12 show residency at the Fillmore in San Francisco in July and August 2007. "Everything Will Happen Before You Die," premiering in 2010 at various film festivals is an irreverant indie comedy by Dan Finkel. "Stuck In Neutral," a rock documentary by Michael Dahan, explores the struggles of a talented LA band trying to make it.

The Raven: Night of the Sinecore is Justin's current passion project. A long time fan of comic books and vampire literature, he set out to create a new kind of menace, and a new hero to defeat them. Having spent over two years creating the world and characters of this story, he plans to complete a four-part comic and associated feature film.

He currently produces and develops work under his own production company: Coloma Productions, Inc.
